LOCTITE 290 is a medium/high strength threadlocker ideal for screws in pre-assembled parts.
LOCTITE® 290 is a medium/high strength liquid threadlocker for locking and sealing threaded connections. Due to its low viscosity and high capillary effect, the product penetrates into the thread gaps without having to loosen the connections beforehand. The product hardens in the absence of air between close-fitting metal surfaces and prevents it from loosening and leaks caused by impact and vibration. The product can also fill porosities in welds, cast and sintered metal parts.

• Ideal for securing pre-assembled screw connections, e.g. on measuring and control devices, electrical connections and for set screws
• Proven tolerance to minor contamination from industrial oils such as motor, anti-corrosion and cutting oils
• Must be heated to disassemble
• Execution: medium/high strength, capillary
• Handling strength (steel): 20 minutes
• Handling strength (brass): 20 minutes
• Handling strength (stainless steel): 60 minutes
