Product information "Reprint: Flume Anniversary catalogue 1887-1912, Chapter I & II"
After the anniversary catalog 1912 to the 25th anniversary of the company Rudolf Flume the anniversary catalog 1937 to the 50-years existence was another sensation.
On more than 750 pages, the factory comprehensively, uniquely and creatively combines the entire product range (movements, spare parts, tools and machines, repair supplies and workshop equipment as well as the many jewelery spare parts).
This legendary "Flume book", which is traded on the internet at prices of more than 500 euros in antique shops, closed a gap in 1937: It is the only work after the 1912 published anniversary catalog (our reference 342965), which represents the technical progress: "The Flume book is not only intended to replace the outmoded with the contemporary, but to bring everything worth knowing in text and presentation so that this book becomes a real friend at the workbench," writes the then owner Walter Flume in his foreword.
This anniversary catalog was the standard in every workshop for many decades and is still valid today. It offers a spectacular overview of old products and is perfect for tracking down products, calibres and works. It is an equally time-historical document and an indispensable encyclopedia as a veritable fund for finding old watch parts and handy helpers in the workshop. Perfect for watchmakers and goldsmiths.
The Flume book contains two volumes. Volume 1 all repair parts, spare parts for brand watches and decoration for the shop, volume 2 all tools and equipment. The extensive appendix contains important comparison and measurement tables, wheel shapes and gear shapes as well as useful tips. It is thus an indispensable reference work.
This high-quality luxury reprint was created again in close cooperation with the author and Berlin specialist for historical watch books, Michael Stern.
A masterpiece for all watch lovers.
Recorded in the German National Library.
758 pages, numerous illustrations.
Format 21.5 x 30 cm, hardcover, weight about 3.2kg
